Check-in
The Check-in window for events spans from 30 minutes before the event starts to 15 minutes after it ends, with an auto check-in feature for registrations made within 15 minutes of the event's start time. Users can register for multiple shifts per day but are restricted from registering in more than one group per shift.
Donor
Individuals who make financial contributions to a particular organization or cause.
Group
A collective of users related to a particular organization or event. In the Kindly app, users on their own select 'Just Me', whereas collective volunteers opt for "I’m coming with a group".
Manager
An individual, generally affiliated with an organization, in charge of orchestrating volunteer activities, overseeing donations, and performing other administrative duties for the entity. Their roles may include event creation, shift planning, and on-site event coordination, among others.
Organization
Charities or non-profit entities on the Kindly platform that coordinate volunteer activities. These entities usually interact with various platform users, such as volunteers, donors, and managers.
Shift
Allocated time periods within an event where volunteers conduct their designated tasks.
User
An individual on the Kindly platform, which includes both volunteers and donors. Kindly encourages volunteers to also contribute as donors by matching their service with a financial contribution.
Volunteer
A person who offers their time and skills to serve organizations in their community.
